With every sequel it was always going to be a hard task to continue to bring great scares, great stories and great acting Chapter 4 The Last Key delivers and delivers well. No spoilers here as the plot has a few new surprises, just round off by saying i will be watching this one again, probably several times, and still get chilled to the bone every time.
Forget the trolls peddling false reviews Not as bad as People are Saying by jackson I went and saw this movie when it came out, and really enjoyed myself. I had previously only seen the first Insidious movie, but I had zero confusion as to what was happening. The character development was nothing special, but I thought that the character Elise was very well done, and the actress did an incredible job. I enjoyed the scares, they were still a little cheesy the way Insidious was, but it scared me enough!
Great ending to a fun series. Really good, intense by tiffanydburgett It seems to me the reviewers giving this movie a poor rating don't even care for the franchise. Like a lot of James Wan movies there is a back story that ties in incredibly well to the other movies. It is about as scary as the others. My husband thought it was done very similarly to the third installment.
My favorite is the second one and this is my second favorite in terms of story and fear factor so that will hopefully be helpful to those who are trying to decide on seeing it or not. The film takes place a year after the events of the third film and follows Elise as she travels to New Mexico to revisit her old home in order to help a man from a deadly spirit that she says, she brought into the world. Lin Shaye again in this film is bonkers to believe she leads this whole entire thing as a 74 year old woman, Leigh Whannell and the other guy are also really good.
The only problem I had with the film, like many, were the very cringy jokes that did not work, if they werent in this, it would have been a bit better but they planted a butt load of them in so I had to give it an 8, another thing was the monster in the film, I think this was another issue but I felt the monster had barely any screen time and I also felt he was really rushed all and all but overall though, Insidious: The Last Key is a really good horror film, brilliant acting, brilliant scares and a really good creepy monster!
